Important Dates:

Back to School Information:

All five (5) beginning of the School Year forms are included here and will be on the Liberty Middle School website at this link:

The first item listed below is a form that must be printed at home, signed, and returned to your student’s Unity Time teacher. You may complete items 2 through 5 on-line. The forms listed below are REQUIRED for ALL students.

  1. Health Information Form  (Parent/ Legal Guardian signature required)
  2. Parental Permission for SOL Retake Form
  3. After School Registration Form
  4. Digital Consent  (Accessible August 10)
  5. Intent to Ride School Bus  (Access link through ParentVue)

ParentVUE:

To get help with setting up your ParentVUE account please contact Jennifer Carnahan with Student Services at 703-988-8200.

Student Supply List:

Student Supply List link is on the Liberty Middle School website.

Physical Education lockers and uniforms:

During Physical Education students will store their book bags in the locker room.  Students should purchase locks from the Liberty PE Dept.  Students also can purchase and use Physical Education uniforms for use during class.  

  • To purchase please go to MySchoolBucks and order by 2 September. 
  • Uniforms and locks will be given out during PE classes after Labor Day.
  • Students who receive free /reduced lunches can request a complimentary lock and uniform through their PE teacher.

Student Rights and Responsibilities (SR&R):

SR&R Signature Sheet will be due after students review the SR&R policies at school.


 Back to School Night (Virtual):

  • Live Session at 6:30 PM (session will be recorded) 
  • All teacher presentations, syllabus, curriculum info will be pre-recorded and shared virtually

Bell Schedule:

We will be implementing a new bell schedule for the 2022-2023 school year. The school day will start at 7:30 AM and end at 2:15 PM. Please click the following link for the 2022-2023 Bell Schedule: FINAL Bell Schedule 2022-23.pdf


Transportation: 

BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS:

Bus stops and route information will be shared with families via the ParentVUE accounts beginning August 9. For more information about bus transportation, including how to access the Bus Delay Notification System, visit the Transportation page.  Transportation will load that information in SIS StudentVUE and ParentVUE under Student Info > Transportation > (mobile app, select Additional Info). If you do not plan on your student using transportation services, please edit your transportation intent information and select “no” for transportation. It can be updated at a later date but will take 3-5 business days to process.

Kiss and Ride Procedures: 

Kiss and Ride-parents should enter and exit from the entrance closest to Compton Road.  Please follow the signs and directions of school staff. Students may exit their vehicles starting at 7:10 a.m.

Please remember SAFETY and PATIENCE when dropping off (7:10 a.m.) or picking up your student in the Kiss and Ride loop. In the mornings, please do not pull to the inside and pass cars as students are getting out. If there is a slow or stalled vehicle, a staff member will direct you around when it is safe to do so. 30 seconds seems like forever when you are in a rush. If possible, your student may walk or ride the bus.

In the afternoons, once students have exited the building and reached their cars, staff will then direct traffic out safely. Thank you very much for your patience and cooperation!


ParentVue Accounts:

If you need to set up a ParentVue account or need assistance to reset your password please contact Jennifer Carnahan at jscarnahan@fcps.edu for assistance. (Please allow 1-2 business days for response.)


 Lunch:

As of June 2022, free lunch from the county has expired. Beginning August 22nd lunch will return to priced meals. For more information on prices and lunch account prepayments please visit: 2022-2023 Lunch Information (Prices and Pre-payment)​​​​​​​
