Arrival and Dismissal Procedures for the 2022-2023 School Year:
In order to ensure a safe arrival and dismissal to school, Crestwood has some safety procedures to make arrival and dismissal as safe and efficient as possible.
Walkers –
Arrival: Students should walk safely to their designated arrival door and line up. Please do not walk across the Bus Loop. Parents do not need to walk students in grades 2 – 6 to their doors as we are trying to reduce the number of people in those areas for pedestrian safety. Students should not report to school before 8:50 am.
Dismissal: At Dismissal time, teachers will walk all walkers out to the front of the school near the main sidewalk . If you wish to pick up your child, please meet them at the grassy area near the bike racks. Please refrain from walking down to the designated door. Thank you for your support in keeping our students and families socially distanced.
Kiss & Ride - Kiss & Ride is used for parents who wish to drive their students to school. Please pull into the school parking lot in a single file. Please do not pass other vehicles. Stay in your car and pull up to where a staff member is on duty to help students out of the car. Parents should stay in their car. This helps us to keep students safe and keep the Kiss & Ride traffic moving in an efficient manner.
Please do not park on Hanover Ave and block our Kiss & Ride Lane or our neighbor’s driveways.
Bus Riders - If you have not yet received information regarding you r student’s bus route, please contact the Main Office at 703-923-5400.

Dismissal
Dismissal is on a staggered schedule to support teachers walking students out to the grassy area near the Bike Racks. We will start Dismissal at 3:45 for Kindergarten students to help them learn the dismissal routine. Kindergarteners must be picked up by a parent or guardian by the Crestwood ES Rock.
