Welcome to a new year of school and a new year of PTA. If this is your first year at Bull Run, we would like to extend a very warm welcome to each of you. If you are a "seasoned" Bull Run family, we know that you are as excited as we are to be starting the school year up again.
As a PTA we are looking forward to continuing the working partnership we have established with the Administration, our amazing Teachers, our invaluable Staff, and our Bull Run families to provide an excellent learning experience for our children.
We encourage each and every one of you to become a part of our team. The number one reason to join the PTA is to benefit the children. In doing so, you also help us.
Things to know about your PTA:
- We appreciate EVERYONE's membership, whether or not you are able to volunteer. Of course, if you have the heart and the time, we'd love to have your help! But you will not be pressured into volunteering unless you're looking to get more involved.
- Each new school year begins new PTA membership. Your PTA membership will be good for the entire school year, but will need to be renewed each year.
- If you are unable to volunteer your time, please consider offering your financial support just by joining! You will have the satisfaction of knowing your support helps fund events and activities for the children throughout the year.
- If you choose to attend a PTA meeting, there will be opportunities to get involved, but no pressure and no judgement. We just appreciate a chance to talk with you and get fresh, new ideas and support!
- Research indicates that parent involvement in education is linked to higher grades, better attendance, and better schools. Also, involved parents have better access to information about opportunities for students, allowing them to be stronger advocates for their children.
- While it is true that we won't pressure you to volunteer, it is also true that the PTA only survives with volunteers. If you're thinking of being more involved at Bull Run, let us know. You can decide on your time commitment. More hands make for lighter work for us all!

We hope you will consider supporting PTA and Bull Run by becoming a PTA member.
We have 3 levels this year which all include a membership for YOUR teacher! In addition to that, if you purchase the standard or premium memberships YOUR teacher will receive a classroom donation to help purchase supplies for your child to utilize!
Become a member by filling out the form online or printing the membership form and turning it in to your teacher or the office.

BooHoo WooHoo COFFEE
Can you believe school starts tomorrow?! WOW! We know sometimes it is hard to send our kids off so if you need someone to talk we are here for you. AND we also know sometimes we are ready to see them grow and move into something new. We are here to celebrate that with you too! Whether you are saying BooHoo or WooHoo we would love for you to come join us at the BooHoo WooHoo Coffee Social. Monday, August 22, 9:30-10:30 in the cafeteria.
