Clermont staff are all smiles, and ready to welcome students back on Monday!
Dear Clermont Families,
On behalf of the entire staff at Clermont Elementary School we would like to welcome you to the 2022-2023 school year! We hope you enjoyed a safe and relaxing summer vacation filled with enjoyment, and time to reconnect with family and friends. We are excited to have students back, filling our classrooms with their energy and enthusiasm for learning. It was wonderful to see so many smiling students at our Open House this week!
Our goal is to support and encourage each child to find, develop, and explore their talents and gifts. If there is something that may impact your child’s success or focus during the school day, please communicate this to your child’s teacher, the school counselor, either one of us, or any other staff member. We are all here to support you and your child in the pursuit of excellence.
Clermont doors will open daily at 8:50 am, and school begins promptly at 9:05 am. Dismissal is at 3:50 pm. See you soon!
With Pride in Our Clermont Community,
Ms. Salata, Principal
Mrs. Younger, Assistant Princpal
Welcome! The FCPS school counseling program provides comprehensive services to all students, supporting student success in academic, career, personal/social and social-emotional domains. School counselors help build a foundation for learning while supporting students' achievement.
We begin the year by offering short term new student orientation groups to welcome new students, and to facilitate adjustment to Clermont ES. Groups meet one time per week for three or four sessions and are open to 1st through 6th grade students. Meetings last for approximately 30 minutes and are held during the school day.
If you would like for your child to participate, please complete this form before the beginning of the second week of school. We look forward to getting to know your child and your family!

At Clermont our teachers will use a variety of digital resources to support student learning and promote communication and collaboration with students and families. Some of the digital resources your child may use this year will require your consent before they can be used. You can find our school’s list of the resources that require parental consent here: Clermont Digital Resources
Included on this page is also a link to a form where the enrolling parent or guardian will need to indicate whether or not their student is allowed to use the list of digital resources this year. This page also provides more information about how FCPS carefully reviews digital resources for approval and why we must request your consent before using certain tools. We encourage you to complete the parental consent for digital resources form as soon as possible, as your child will not be able to use the digital resources until we have received your permission. Please reach out to your child’s teacher if you have questions or concerns about the digital resources we’ve chosen to use this year.
Parents can find more information about FCPS-approved digital resources on the Digital Resources in FCPS webpage.

Fairfax County Public Schools is committed to ensuring that the climate in all FCPS facilities is safe and secure. In support of this goal, FCPS provides weCare@school (weCare), an emergency care information system, available to FCPS parents and guardians who have registered for their own Parent account.
weCare helps manage emergency medical information by enabling parents to go online to enter and update their children’s medical data at their convenience. Contact information provided automatically enrolls parents to receive eNotify communications from the district and their child’s school. eNotify is the communications tool for FCPS emergency, transportation, attendance, weather closings and delays, and essential outreach messages.
