Preparing Your Student for Meals at WSHS
As of July 1, the US Department of Agriculture pandemic program to provide no-cost meals to all public school students has ended. This school year, parents will either need to provide their students with money to purchase meals at school, send them with a packed lunch, or apply (and be approved) for free and reduced-price meal benefits.
Paying for Meals
Prices for meals are the same as they were before the pandemic in 2020. School breakfast for students costs $1.75. Lunch is $3.50.
The best way to purchase meals (and additional food items) is to use MySchoolBucks. Parents can setup your student’s MySchoolBucks account online. Purchases made with MySchoolBucks keeps cafeteria lines moving more quickly. Be ready on day one by setting up your child’s MySchoolBucks account, looking over the menus, and ensuring your student uses their cafeteria PIN. Parents should have received an email from Food and Nutrition Services that includes your child’s pin this week.
Student Laptops
Any student that has yet to get issued a laptop will be issued their laptop during the first week of school, at some point (TBD) during the school day.

Food For Neighbors School Promo
How Can You Learn When You’re Hungry?
Food For Neighbors is a proud partner with our school and provides weekend food for students who might otherwise go hungry. Volunteers are the heart and soul of Food For Neighbors, but our success also depends on funding. We have a special opportunity for members of our school community to make a real difference with a gift to Food For Neighbors Back-To-School fundraising campaign, which runs through the end of August. Gifts of any size are welcome, and can be made quickly and easily on their website. Funds raised will help meet FFN's goal of providing nutritious food for every child who needs it during the new school year.
If you are interested in making a difference in our school’s community, visit Food for Neighbor's website for details on how you can donate food through the Red Bag Program and volunteer to help sort and distribute food to ours and other area local schools. This is a great opportunity for students to get community service hours, too!
