Who will be your child’s teacher this year? Find out tomorrow, August 18th, at our Welcome Walk!
Our annual Welcome Walk is one of Cub Run’s most beloved traditions! Your child’s classroom teacher and another staff member will come to your door between 8:30-11:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 18th to greet your child and provide a packet of Back-to-School information. If you won’t be home, we’ll leave a hang tag on your doorknob indicating your child’s teacher and classroom number.
Open House: Thursday, August 18th from 2:00-3:30 p.m.
After our Welcome Walk, meet us at the school for our annual Open House! You can bring your child’s school supplies to his or her classroom and say hello to the teacher.

Back-to-School Night
We are looking forward to welcoming parents and guardians to our Back-to-School Night on September 8 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. Please note that Back-to-School Night is intended for parents and guardians only, and we are unable to provide child care at school. During this event, you’ll learn more about your child’s curriculum and classroom routines. You’ll have a chance to ask questions to your child’s teacher, walk around the classroom, and sign up to volunteer to help in your child’s class this year.

Kiss & Ride Information and Registration
Many families will use Kiss & Ride for both arrival and dismissal. Please be patient with each other and our staff on duty! We all have the same goal of ensuring that our students arrive and dismiss as safely as possible. For new families, a number will be assigned to your car to expedite the drop-off/pick-up process. You do not need this number immediately to go through the line. After registering, you will be given the number at pick-up time during the first week of school. To register for Kiss & Ride, please complete this form.
For returning families, you will receive the same number from the 2021-22 school year in your Welcome Walk/Return to School Packet.

Paperless Opt-outs
As a part of our ongoing efforts to streamline paper processes, parents can now select a number of opt-outs electronically via ParentVUE. Once you have signed into your ParentVUE account, simply select the “Student Info” tab and click on “Edit Information.” You will find opt-outs listed there. Parents and guardians who do not yet have a ParentVUE account will still be able to use paper forms for notification. If you need to set up your ParentVUE account, you can create one online via the FCPS ParentVUE Registration Page.
