Dear Spring Hill Families,
We are looking forward to welcoming our students and families on Thursday, August 16th @ 9AM for Open House. Just a reminder, that new families may arrive at 8:30 AM for a brief orientation and a school tour.
On a separate note, we are excited to announce that Ms. Boutia Pourhashemi has joined our staff as our new Assistant Principal. Ms. Pourhashemi has spent over a decade as a special educator at the elementary school level and an additional three years at the middle school level. For the past three years, she has been the MTSS resource person at the high school level creating and implementing schoolwide, equitable tiered support processes.
Ms. Pourhashemi attended FCPS schools and her blended family of five also attended her alma mater, Marshall High School, with the youngest currently in her sophomore year. She has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Masters of Special Education from George Mason University, as well as an Administration & Supervision certification from Longwood University. She currently resides in Vienna with her husband, daughter, father, and dog Harley.
Ms. Pourhashemi is excited and very ready to begin working with the students, community, and staff at Spring Hill. It is her belief that every student deserves to receive high levels of learning and the resolute support to be successful while ensuring all stakeholders feel heard, supported, and valued. She will oversee 2nd, 4th, 6th grade and students assigned to Ms. Hokama and Ms. Andriko in Kindergarten.
