Come out and meet our admin team, and the rest of the Herndon staff for our Welcome Back Bus Tour, Thursday, August 18, 2022! The Herndon staff will be at the stops listed below with Goldfish, smiles, handshakes, fist bumps, high fives, and hugs. We can’t wait to see you all there!

We are looking forward to welcoming our students to HES on the first day of school which is Monday, August 22, 2022. Our bell schedule is 9:20am - 4:05pm.
If your child rides the bus, FCPS transportation will send an eNotify with your child's bus information on August 12. Parents are asked to review their ParentVue account for updates.

Application Must be Submitted for FCPS Free and Reduced Meals
IMPORTANT:
For the past two years, the federal government has provided no-cost meals to all public school students without the need to complete the annual Free and Reduced-Price Meal application.
The extension of the no-cost meals benefit to all students EXPIRED at the end of the 2021-22 school year, meaning families MUST SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AND BE APPROVED to be eligible for free and reduced-price meals for the 2022-23 school year. The application for the Free and Reduced-Price Meal program is now available online.

We need parental permission in order for your child to use the Herndon Elementary digital resources which can be used for classwork on their laptop. Without your permission, they will not be able to use them. Please fill out the permission form here.
