Classroom Monitor Positions Available
Cardinal Forest ES is looking for exceptional people to serve as Classroom Monitors for the 2022-2023 school year!
Classroom Monitors work on school days during the 2022-2023 school year and will directly support classrooms by providing teachers with additional planning time and supervising students. Monitors may support students in their classrooms, in the café, during arrival/dismissal, or at recess. Directions/assignments will be provided for monitors in the different settings.

Free and Reduced Lunch Requirements For the past two years, the federal government has provided no-cost meals to all public school students without the need to complete the annual Free and Reduced-Price Meal application. The extension of the no-cost meals benefit to all students ended, meaning families must submit an application and be approved to be eligible for free and reduced price meals for the 2022-23 school year.
Eligible families are encouraged to submit the Free and Reduced-Price Meal application before the first day of the 2022-23 school year. The online application will be available later this summer and accessible via the FCPS homepage. Learn more about the Free and Reduced-Price Meal program online.
School Immunizations
School may be out for summer, but now is the time for your child to catch up on school immunizations! Check out the list of Virginia’s required school immunizations and make your doctor appointments now before the August rush or visit the Fairfax County Health Department website for a schedule of child immunization clinics.
It is important that Emergency Care Forms and Health Forms for your student be up-to-date at the beginning of each year and throughout the year.
