Happy August! The start of the school year is just three short weeks away.

As the Kilmer PTA Board drafts our annual budget this summer, knowing we can rely on your financial support is critical to our plans to continue funding activities big and small like certain after school programs, field trips, student run committees, NJHS, upgrades to building and classroom technology and much much more.

FOOD PANTRY
DONATIONS NEEDED

Thanks to your generous donations, our first summer pantry distribution on July 7th went off super well.
We need your help AGAIN, to make our second summer drive a success.
We know with everyone potentially traveling for the summer it can get tough to drop off donations so the pantry team will pick up food and supply items for the drive.
All you need to do is donate to this cause by using the link below. Please choose the "Kilmer Food Pantry" as your donation line.

If you're looking for a way to help, give back to our Kilmer teachers, are new to Kilmer and want to get involved, we need volunteers to help on our Hospitality and Teacher Appreciation Committee. The role involves planning a few events over the course of the school year and helping out as needed in coordinating teacher appreciation efforts. Please email our Hospitality Chair, Chris Harney, christinejharney@gmail.com if you're interested in learning more.

Our Kilmer PTA Facebook page is up and running. Thanks to some fantastic volunteers, it's been an invaluable resource for keeping current on all the school stuff our teenagers forget to tell us about.

8th Grade Open House will be August 16th.
7th Grade Open House will be August 18th.
Both Open Houses will be from 3:00 - 5:00.
A virtual informational session will be held a day before each open house to set and manage expectation for the afternoon

IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS
FOR 2022 - 2023 SCHOOL YEAR
|
Effective July 1, 2022, all students entering Seventh grade will be required to receive one dose of each of the following immunizations prior to the beginning of school: Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis booster (Tdap), and Meningococcal vaccine (MenACWY).
Seventh grade students cannot begin school in August without proper Tdap and Meningococcal documentation. Parents can check to see if their child is compliant for all immunizations by logging into SIS ParentVue and clicking on the Health Immunizations tab.
Parents should submit a copy of their child’s updated immunization records to KMSimmunization@fcps.edu .
