Floris Families,

It was fabulous to see so many of our Floris families at Open House yesterday, and we can't wait to see our students on Monday for the first day of school.

Our doors will open on Monday at 9:00am. School officially begins at 9:15am, with dismissal at 4:00pm.

Arrival and dismissal (buses and Kiss and Ride) are often challenging at the beginning of the year. We thank you in advance for your patience as transportation, Floris staff, parents, and students work through those beginning of year kinks, keeping safety at the forefront of all decisions.

Our staff have requested that we give our Eagles time to acclimate to school routines and procedures. Therefore, we will not be accepting lunch visitors in the first few weeks of school. We appreciate your support as we prepare our students for a fabulous year. Please watch for details on when we are ready to accept volunteers and lunch visitors.

We hope you have a wonderful weekend, and we will see our students on Monday!

digital resources

Digital Resources Consent

At Floris, we use a variety of digital tools to support meaningful student learning. Some of these tools require parental consent before they can be used.

You can find our school’s list of the resources that require parental consent here: https://florises.fcps.edu/adopteddigitalresources.

After reviewing these resources, please complete 🔗 this form 🔗 to indicate whether or not your student is allowed to use the list of digital resources this year. Your child will not be able to use the digital resources until we have received your permission, so the sooner we can get the permission the better!

Please reach out to our School Based Technology Specialist, Willa McGrath (wimcgrath@fcps.edu) or your child's teacher if you have questions or concerns. THANK YOU!
