Principals at the Playground
Come say hi and meet our new Assistant Principal on Thursday, August 11th from 2:30 – 4:00 pm on the Floris playground. Ms. Walker and Mr. Gibbs will be there to connect with Floris families. Feel free to come by between 2:30-4:00 to hang out, chat, or play on the playground.
Who: Parent and Students
What: Open House- a time to tour the building, see your classroom, bring your school supplies, meet the teachers and help everyone prepare for a fabulous first day of school.

Kindergarten & 1st: 9:30-10:15am

2nd & 3rd grade: 10:30-11:15am

4th, 5th & 6th grade: 11:30am-12:15pm
Where: Everyone will enter through the Main Entrance (Door 1) and exit from the cafeteria (Door 6) to assist with traffic flow.
Why are the times split? Parking is very limited here at Floris. We ask that you please stay within these times so that families are able to find parking.
Please remember that you should NOT park on the yellow fire lanes, at the Fire Station, or in an area that blocks any fire hydrants/mailboxes/driveways in the neighborhood.
We will also have Back To School Nights for parents to learn information about the grade level/class expectations and curriculum. Please watch for those details coming soon!

Floris Bell Schedule: 9:15am-4:00pm Monday-Friday

Breakfast and lunch are available each day and the menu will be available at FCPS Nutrislice- Floris

Families must submit an application and be approved to be eligible for free and reduced price meals for SY 22-23. Learn more about the Free and Reduced-Price Meal program online.
- The transportation office is working on bus routes for the upcoming school year. You can expect the bus number, bus stop location, and approximate times for pick-up and drop-off in August right before the start of school.
