Dear MVHS Families,

I hope you all are continuing to enjoy your summer and finding time to relax.  As some of you may have seen from the superintendent's community message, FCPS is experiencing a staff shortage, however, we are all committed to ensuring that we will have a licensed educator in every classroom for the first day of school.

I want to assure you that at MVHS we are almost fully staffed and working diligently to prepare for the upcoming school year.  In the event that we are not fully staffed, we have already developed plans to address any remaining vacancies. These plans are student-centered and designed to meet the needs of all our students.

We look forward to welcoming your child to MVHS and will send our welcome back letter and video with more details about the upcoming school year next Friday.  Take good care and we will see you all very soon.

Sincerely,

The MVHS Administrative Team

FCPS Trust Policy

FCPS’ Trust Policy confirms the school division’s commitment to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space that is non-disruptive to all students and their families, regardless of immigration status. This policy aligns with FCPS Strategic Plan Goal 2 - Caring Culture and with Fairfax County’s Public Trust and Confidentiality Policy. It ensures that FCPS students and families can access FCPS benefits and services without fear of having their data disclosed to federal immigration officials.

Please talk with your family health care provider about whether or not your children are up to date on their vaccines before the new school year begins. Submit updated immunization records to your school as soon as possible.

More information on immunization requirements and the necessary documentation is available online.
