Join us for our HMS Open House on August. 18th 2022 from 2pm-4pm!

  • Pick up your students schedule and find all the different classroom locations
  • Pick up a free backpack (limited available for students in need) 
  • Submit your start of year forms
  • and sooo much more!!

School Site Immunization Clinic

If your student is missing immunizations, you will be contacted by FCHD to inform you of upcoming immunization opportunities. FCHD will assist you with making appointments at any of the five FCHD District Office locations, as well as appointments at our school immunization clinic. This clinic will offer required immunizations, at no cost to families. School Immunization Clinics will be by appointment only.

Free and Reduced- Price Meal Application Now Open

For the past two years, the federal government has provided no-cost meals to all public school students without the need to complete the annual Free and Reduced-Price Meal application. 

IMPORTANT: The extension of the no-cost meals benefit to all students expired at the end of the 2021-22 school year, meaning families must submit an application and be approved to be eligible for free and reduced-price meals for the 2022-23 school year. The application for the Free and Reduced-Price Meal program is now available online. 

Tax-Free Weekend

August 5-7, 2022 will be a three-day sales tax holiday in the state of Virginia. For more information, visit Virginia’s Sales Tax Holiday webpage.
