Dear Haycock Families,
It is with great pleasure that I share with you that Jody Delaney will join us at the beginning of August as our new Assistant Principal.
Jody Delaney comes to us from Sunrise Valley Elementary School where she was most recently their Acting Assistant Principal and Summer Site Director for Bridge to Kindergarten and SOAR programs. Over the past 15 years, Jody has taught General Music in Grades K-6 at Sunrise Valley, Freedom Hill, and Kent Gardens Elementary Schools. A proud graduate of Fairfax County Public Schools, Jody is passionate about providing all students an opportunity to shine. She holds a Master of Education Leadership degree from George Mason University, a Master of Music Education degree from George Mason University, and a Bachelor of Music degree from McGill University.
Jody and her husband, Ryan, have three children in FCPS, rising 1st, 4th and 6th graders. As a parent, educator and leader in the county, she believes in creating and engaging in meaningful partnerships with families and community members. Jody enjoys traveling with her family, exploring hikes and trails with her family’s pandemic puppy, and loudly cheering for her children in the sporting event(s) of the weekend.
Jody is thrilled to make her way back to Region 2 to join the Haycock Family and cannot wait to meet all of you!
