Dear Churchill Road Families,
We hope that you are enjoying your summer break. Our custodians have been busy cleaning, and we so appreciate their efforts. Our summer camps have been going well; it has been wonderful to see our students and staff engaged in fun and creative activities
Below are some important notes. Please feel free to call the main office with any questions at (703) 288-8400. Our office hours are 8:30 - 11:30 AM. We are happy to help.
Summer Office Hours
Our summer office hours are Monday-Friday from 8:30 - 11:30 AM.
- Please note that office will be closed this coming Friday, July 15, for maintenance activities. It will reopen on Monday, July 18 at 8:30 AM.
Student Registration
- Churchill Road registrar, Ms. Angie Kim, will be back in the office starting July 18.
- Registration will be by appointment. If you, a neighbor, or someone you know needs to register a student at Churchill Road Elementary, please sign up for an appointment here.
CRS Summer Learning Choice Board
Students have learned and grown so much over the course of the past year, and we want to keep that momentum going. HERE is an optional summer learning choice board filled with fun activities for Reading, Science, Art, and Math. Choose your own adventure and complete as little or as many squares as you like. Your student can always access this choice board through the Library Schoology Course all summer long. Stay curious and enjoy the summer!
Kindergarten and New Family Playdates
Kindergarten students and families new to Churchill Road, please join us on the playground to meet other students and families. Please save the dates!

Immunization Reminder
As we begin to look ahead to the 2022-23 school year, Be Wise, Immunize! Immunizations are required for public school entry and help keep children protected from many diseases. Many children missed their well check-ups and their recommended childhood immunizations during recent years of disruptions from COVID-19. It is critical to catch up now to keep children healthy and protect them from serious diseases.
We encourage you to check with your healthcare provider to make sure your child is up to date on required immunizations for the 2022-23 school year as soon as possible. If your child needs a vaccine to complete their records, you can make an appointment with your healthcare provider or visit the Fairfax County Health Department website for a schedule of child immunization clinics.
Remember to request documentation of your child’s immunizations and bring that to Churchill Road as soon as possible.
lan to Submit Free and Reduced-Price Meal Applications This Summer
Families must submit an application and be approved to be eligible for free and reduced-price meals for the 2022-23 school year.
Interested families are encouraged to submit the Free and Reduced-Price Meal application ten days prior to the first day of the 2022-23 school year. The online application will be available later this summer and accessible via the FCPS homepage.
Students approved for Free and Reduced-Price Meals may qualify for additional benefits such as waived or reduced fees for instruments, uniforms, field trips, FCPS class fees, and Parktakes classes. Schools also benefit from funding opportunities based on Free and Reduced Price Meal application numbers.
