FE survey

Thank you for your feedback through the Family Engagement Survey!

Earlier this year, FCPS and Lees Corner asked families to respond to the Family Engagement Survey. Thank you to the families who participated! We are grateful for your willingness to provide helpful information about your experiences here at Lees Corner. Here are some of highlights from the survey:

Most Positive Ranking Items (More than 90% of participants agreed or strongly agreed with the following statements):

  • Information provided to me by the school is easy to understand.
  • My school is safe.
  • My child feels safe at school.
  • This school welcomes families of different backgrounds and cultures.
  • There is at least one caring adult at the school that my child trusts.

Least Positive Ranking Items (More than 20% of participants disagreed or strongly disagreed with the following statements):

  • This school provides me with opportunities to connect with other families.
  • I received enough information about what I can do at home to help my child improve his or her learning.
  • I received enough information about what I can do at home to support my child with mental health and wellness.
  • There are opportunities for me to volunteer at my child’s school.
  • The school staff works with me to identify social and emotional skills that my child can develop to be successful.

We will continue to develop plans to enhance family engagement and will work to improve in these areas listed as least positive. We are hopeful to restore our in person volunteer and community events! During Fall 2022, we will generate ways for you to share your ideas or willingness to support this work at Lees Corner.  We are excited to continue to grow our connections with families in meaningful and collaborative ways!
