Good Afternoon Bull Run Elementary Friends and Families,
Mr. Jason Pensler, Principal and Mrs. Susanne Shahidi, Assistant Principal are pleased to announce that Mrs. Jenna Campbell, Literacy Resource Teacher Region 4 in the Office of School Support, has been selected to join our administrative team as the new assistant principal of Bull Run Elementary School, effective July 13, 2022.
Mrs. Campbell started her teaching career for New York City Public Schools in 2006 where she spent four years teaching 2nd grade in the South Bronx. She moved to Northern Virginia and joined Fairfax County Public Schools in 2010 as a 2nd grade teacher and Intervention Specialist for two years at Lutie Lewis Coates ES. In 2012, she transitioned to the role of Reading Specialist at Brookfield ES. She moved on to become a Literacy Resource Teacher in The Office of School Support in 2016. Most recently, she served as Acting Assistant Principal at Kings Park Elementary.
Mrs. Campbell is deeply committed to the Centreville Pyramid as her family lives in this community, her two children attend elementary school in this pyramid, and her husband works at CVHS. She and her husband are celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary this August. They have two children, Beckett (10) and Harper Kate (8). She enjoys being outdoors hiking, running, and walking. Jenna is a Peloton enthusiast, avid San Francisco 49ers fan, and a Starbucks hot chocolate fanatic.
Mrs. Campbell is honored to join the Bull Run family as Assistant Principal. She looks forward to meeting and working with the school faculty and staff this summer as we prepare for the 2022-23 school year. She looks forward to getting to know the students and community this school year.
Mrs. Campbell holds Master of Education in Administration and Supervision from the University of Virginia, a Masters of Literacy in the Classroom from Bank Street College of Education, and a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from State University College at Cortland.
