At a special meeting on June 3, 2022, the board of Educate Fairfax elected new leadership for the next fiscal year. Cindy Anderson, Media Relations Manager, Mission Systems at Northrop Grumman, will be the next chairman of the board. Serving alongside her will be Sunil Budhrani, MD, Vice Chair, Monica Lucero, Deloitte, Secretary, Bill Brown, Moseley Architects, Treasurer, and Len Forkas, Milestone Towers, past board chair.

The board also elected two new members, Katie Knight of Apple Federal Credit Union, and Aehee Park of Cox Business.

Giant Food "Rounds Up" to Eliminate Food Insecurity.

From June 3 and through July 28, 2022, shoppers at Giant Food will be invited to “ROUND UP” their grocery purchase - the donated "round up" amount will be designated for Educate Fairfax to support programs in the school district that address food insecurity.

As we prepare for the 2022-2023 school year, please spread the word to ensure this program is a great success! From backpacks with weekend food, to clearing delinquent lunch accounts, building a community pantry in a school, or a school garden for fresh food for students, funds will be provided directly to support food access for those who need it most.

Educate Fairfax looks forward to partnering with Giant Food in the fight against childhood hunger.
