With your partnership, we were able to have a successful, fully in-person school year from start to finish! Our students made tremendous progress and spent the year learning how to problem-solve and persevere, readying them for anything that awaits! We hope you have a restful and relaxing summer with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming students back next fall!

Summer Digital Tools Access for Students
Oak View reminds all students and families that students can continue to use digital resources by using our school website or by logging into Schoology through a course. After mid-June, courses from the 2021-22 school year will archived and will no longer show up as they have all year. Students must follow the instructions found on our website to access links from an archived course during the summer months. Passwords to many resources can be found in Schoology in archived courses.

Tutor.com Summer Access
Oak View students will continue to have unlimited access to 24/7, on-demand, online tutoring support services through Tutor.com this summer. Students are able to use Tutor.com to review and/or practice in subject areas of interest or need. Students may also choose to access other tools such as practice quizzes in a variety of subject areas, as well as self-paced study courses for SAT and ACT preparation.
Details about how students can access Tutor.com through archived courses in Schoology are provided in Summer Access at Tutor.com - Online Tutoring Services. Free and Reduced-Price Meal Applications/Summer Meals
Families must submit an application and be approved to be eligible for free and reduced price meals for SY 22-23. For the past two years, the federal government has provided no-cost meals to all public school students without the need to complete the annual Free and Reduced-Price Meal application. However, the extension of the no-cost meals benefit to all students is expected to expire at the end of this school year.
Oak View encourages you to submit the Free and Reduced-Price Meal application prior to the first day of the 22-23 school year. The online application will be available later this summer. Watch your email and our website for more information. Learn more about the Free and Reduced-Price Meal program online.
No-cost summer meals will be served at all FCPS summer school locations this year. Please visit the FCPS website for updated information during the summer.

Family Return to School Survey
FCPS is interested in hearing from parents/caregivers about how the 2021-22 school year has gone for students. You have an opportunity to provide your feedback on our Family Return to School Survey. Please check your email and text messages for the link. The deadline has been extended to Friday, June 17, at 8 p.m.
The survey is being administered by the FCPS Office of Research and Strategic Improvement, which provides objective research and data-based information back to the school division’s leadership. It is part of the office’s continuing evaluation of the pandemic’s impact on our school division.
The survey is available in English, Chinese, Vietnamese, Arabic, Spanish, Korean, and Farsi, and takes about 15 minutes to complete. We encourage all FCPS parents/caregivers to participate and share their experiences whether positive or negative. The information families provide will be used, along with other data, to support FCPS’ efforts to make improvements that support schools, students, and staff, and for ESSER accountability reporting.
