CES Support for Families in Need - 22 - 23 School Year

Financial Need & School Supply Support for Students

We realize that the past couple of years have been harder on some families.  With soaring prices of gas, housing, food and other items it could be putting a financial strain on your family.  We can and want to support families that may be in need.

Did you know that our PTA has scholarship support for programs we offer during the school year and also summer camps?  Did you know that we can help with school supplies?

It will be important next year for families that could use assistance apply for support using the FRM application below. This will provide us approval to use support funds for your family in a confidential and supportive manner.

At anytime you may be in need, we hope you will reach out to our counselor, Heather Lomelin, HELomelin@fcps.edu, Social Worker, MTMahoney@fcps.edu, or our administrators. This information is kept confidential as we work to support your family with available resources.

We want to ensure every child has the school supplies they need to start the new school year off. If your child(ren) will be needing support for school supplies, please reach out to us or complete this google form and we will confirm this support to ensure your child is ready.

Thank you,

CES Admin and Student Services Team

Free & Reduced Priced Meals Application

For the past two years, the federal government has provided no-cost meals to all public school students without the need to complete the annual Free and Reduced-Price Meal application. The extension of the no-cost meals benefit to all students is expected to expire at the end of this school year, meaning families must submit an application and be approved to be eligible for free and reduced price meals for the 2022-23 school year.

Eligible families are encouraged to submit the Free and Reduced-Price Meal application before the first day of the 2022-23 school year. The online application will be available later this summer and accessible via the FCPS homepage.

Students approved for Free and Reduced-Price Meals may qualify for additional benefits such as waived or reduced fees for instruments, uniforms, field trips, FCPS class fees, and Parktakes classes.

No-cost summer meals will be served at all FCPS summer school locations this year. Please visit our website for updated information during the summer.
