Majors achieve and thrive together with purpose and pride!

Wellness Day Pic

We had a wonderful wellness day to celebrate the end of the school year!

Greetings Major Families,

With the 21-22 school year behind us, we are reflecting on so many celebrations and accomplishments.  Our students and staff worked with passion and enthusiasm throughout the year and the rewards have been priceless. Numerous academic awards were earned and MVHS earned the designation of a blue-ribbon school of music excellence. There were many brilliant art and theatrical performances, tons of community service projects, and many athletic and club competitions were won!  We are incredibly proud of every achievement of our entire community no matter how big or small.

As we look to the next school year, we have already begun planning for ways to continue to improve.  Our strategic plan will continue to focus on three big ideas: The social and emotional well-Being of students, highly effective collaborative learning teams, and high quality instruction to ensure every student engages in rigorous learning.  We continue to seek your input to help us as we finalize those plans.  Please share your ideas here

Each year, some of our MVHS staff make life and personal choices to retire or move with new career or school choices.  We wish those staff members the very best in their future endeavors and they are reminded that, “Once a Major, Always a Major”. 😊 With that, we will welcome new amazing staff members to the Major Family.  Those staff members will be introduced in August. Last month, we introduced the newest members of the administrative team, Mrs. Lashonda Reed and Mr. Brian Murphy.  We are also excited to welcome the following members to our leadership team:

Mrs. Sarah Freeland - IB Coordinator

Ms. Erica Williams-Taylor - Dean of Students

Ms. Pamela Ihle - Assessment Coach

Finally, It has been a pleasure to work alongside you all to support our Majors this year, and I look forward to continuing our partnership to ensure our Majors achieve and thrive together with purpose and pride!! :-)

Have an amazing summer!

With Major Pride,

Principal Rogers
