Laptop Collection

We will be collecting our FCPSOn student laptops this summer so that they can receive repairs and updates. If your student is participating in an FCPS summer program, they are welcome to keep their FCPSOn laptop over the summer.

Our tech team will be available in Langley Hall on June 6th, 7th and 8th from 10:30 am - 11:30 am to collect student laptops and chargers as they finish their final exams. On June 9th, our teachers will collect devices during 1st period or 3rd period in classroom. There is more information about this available in Schoology.

Did You Know...

Steven C. Hayes Ph.D from Psychology today writes “Your thoughts, feelings, memories, and sensations are like clips of a show on screen. Some of them are joyful, and they make you happy and content. Others are horrifying, and they make you anxious and depressed. You become the story and the clips on the screen. Once there, life is on autopilot and the direction of life is based on mindless habits alone.” Here are ways to break out of autopilot and mindless habits.

Refund for Student's Meal Account

The information below can be found on the FCPS website and will aid you in requesting a refund from your child’s MySchoolBucks meal account.

Requesting a refund for my student's meal account

Meal account refunds can be requested by e-mailing the following information to mealaccountrefund@fcps.edu

  1. Student Name
  2. Student ID # (listed on the student's schedule)
  3. School Name
  4. Parent Name
  5. Street Address
  6. City, State and Zip code
  7. Phone #

On June 30 of each year, balances for all graduating seniors will no longer report in MySchoolBucks.  Food and Nutrition Services will have access to balance files and if parents have not requested a transfer or refund by this date, they may still do so up to one year (to June 30 of the following  year) using the above methods.

Parents are required to log into www.MySchoolBucks.com and from the homepage dashboard and click “Remove Student." Click the box under “Remove?” for the graduating student’s name.

Parking Hang Tag Information

Parking hang tag applications for the 2022-2023 school year will be available in MySchoolBucks to seniors beginning in mid-July

  • Payment for the parking hang tag must be made in MySchoolBucks.  An email will be sent to all senior students/parents when the payment icon has been opened.  Once we have verified that the student has no financial obligations to FCPS/Langley, the payment will be approved and a payment receipt will be sent by MySchoolBucks.  Passes will be distributed prior to school opening in August, date TBD.  All seniors are eligible to apply for a parking pass. Cost for the parking hang tag is $200.
  • Missing items can be turned into the main office or paid in “MySchoolBucks”.
  • Students will be required to submit a copy of their driver’s license prior to receiving the pass.  Copies can be emailed to Mark Rogers:  marogers2@fcps.edu.
  • Parking applications for the 2022-2023 school year will be limited to rising seniors. Parking for rising juniors will be dependent on the number of senior applications received. If it is deemed that space is available for a limited number of juniors to park, a lottery will be made available in the fall with details to follow.

Medication Pick Up Information

The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than the student dismissal time on the last day of school.  Medication left in the health room after that time will be discarded.  It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian.  Medication cannot be sent home with your student.  However, with parent or guardian permission, a high school student may transport over-the-counter medications to and from the school health room. If you have any questions email Bronwen Fleming, School Health Aide, at bmfleming@fcps.edu
