FCPS Laptop Collection
Cedar Lane is required to collect EACH student’s FCPS-assigned laptop and charger by the end of this school year. For those students returning to Cedar Lane in the fall, they will be assigned a reimaged FCPS laptop when school begins.
- Students must turn in their school-issued laptop and charger.
- All underclassman will turn in their laptops and chargers during the 5th period exam on Wednesday, June 8th.
- We are not collecting the laptop bags.
- Students who have lost their laptop or charger will need to pay the replacement charge. Students or parents need to inform Cedar Lane that the laptop has been lost. A charge is then posted to MySchoolBucks with the laptop or charger replacement fee. Parents then make their payments through MySchoolBucks. Students should bring a paper receipt from MySchoolBucks with them when they come to the laptop collection.
- The laptop replacement fee is $481 and the charger replacement fee is $23.
- Students attending ESY or other FCPS Summer Program should still turn in their laptops and will be issued a reimaged machine when their Summer Program begins.
- Students may turn in their laptop and charger earlier than Wednesday, June 8 by bringing it to the technology office, the main office or their 5th period teacher.
