Class of 2022 - Farewell Message

Annandale Seniors and Families:

Congratulations on an amazing graduation ceremony hosted here at Annandale High School!

Lauryn Mills, President of the Class of 2022, spoke of the support and inclusivity students enjoy here at Annandale. She highlighted the many ways our students work to make a difference in their community and across the world. Lauryn called on her fellow graduates to continue to take action as they move on to the next part of their journey.

Dr. Sarah Eqab, our keynote speaker and Assistant Principal at Annandale, reminded our graduates that each of us carries stories that shape who we are and who we will become. She shared how proud we are of your resilience, your advocacy for a more equitable world, your diverse backgrounds and experiences that shape and better our community, and finally, all that you have accomplished here at Annandale. “You know where you come from,” Dr. Eqab stated, “and you make us lift our heads in pride.”

I am continually amazed and impressed by the growth this class has experienced and the success you have achieved. I am confident that as you leave, you will continue to do great things.

The faculty and I are so proud of what you have accomplished both individually and as a class, especially given the extraordinary circumstances of the past few years. It has been our honor to serve you and to be a part of your high school journey.

We wish you success in all you do and on behalf of the Annandale High School staff, congratulations to the Class of 2022!

Shawn DeRose, Principal

Senior Awards Ceremony

Senior Awards Ceremony - We are so incredibly proud of our seniors and all they have overcome and accomplished in their time here at Annandale.

On Thursday, we hosted our Senior Awards Ceremony, which presented students with community awards and scholarships, as well as recognized students selected for their excellence in each academic department at Annandale. By no means are the awards presented a comprehensive list of all the achievements of our seniors, but rather represent a sample of the talent demonstrated by this graduating class. A comprehensive list of all awards presented can be found in the Senior Awards Program
