SCHOOL NEWS:
We welcomed back many WSHS seniors, two from Mount Vernon HS and one from Fairfax HS today! Congrats to all of them. Lewis HS does their grad walk next Friday, June 3 around 9:15.
Inadvertent fire alarm today: Today one of our fire alarms was accidentally pulled. Students and staff exited the building quickly and quietly - and it counts for our May firedrill!
End of year medication pick up: Just a reminder, all medications in the health room must be picked up no later than 1pm on June 10th, the last day of school.
Medication left in the health room after that time will be discarded. It is school policy that medication must be picked up by a
parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student. Please contact our school health aide, Tammy Kent, at
703-923-2710 if you have any questions.
Free Cancer Center Screening: The Schar Cancer Center and Saville Center for Cancer Screening and Prevention will be on hand to provide informative sessions from our team of experts, free cancer screenings, and recommendations for healthier living. NEW PTA BOARD MEMBERS FOR 2022-2023 + THANK YOU: Congratulations to our new board members for next year, Kaytee Mack (Vice President #1), Diana Luk (Vice President #2) and Corey Boone (Treasurer) and a huge thank you to our outgoing board members, Seamus O'Connor (Vice President), Aspen Bergmann (Vice President) and Rob Johnson (Treasurer.) Jocelyn Davies (Secretary) and Caroline Green (President) will continue their terms next year.
MILITARY FAMILY OUTREACH COMMITTEE: The PTA plans to have a new Military Family Outreach Committee for the 2022-2023 school year. Please email ptarollingvalley@gmail.com if you are interested in joining the committee or would like more information!
