Field Day Preparations

We are so excited to have in person field days again after two years! While it will be a fun day, we also recognize that it will be hot. Please send your child to school with a water bottle and pre-sun screened. Thank you in advance to our parent volunteers and to our amazing PE teachers, Beth Beavers and Janae Belcher.

End-of-Year Medication Pickup Information

The school health room is reminding parents and guardians that all medication stored in the health room must be picked up no later than the student dismissal time on the last day of school (June 10, 2022). Medication left in the health room after that time will be discarded. It is school policy that medications must be picked up by the parent or guardian. Medication cannot be sent home with your student.

Medication authorization forms for next school year may be obtained from the school or online (please click here.)

If you have any questions, please contact the school health room aide, at (703) 426-7000. Thank you!

Lost and Found Items

Are you missing a coat? Sweatshirt? Hat? Water bottle?

The Kings Park Girls on the Run Team spent some time giving back to our school community and cleaning up the lost and found. The girls sorted out the items in the lost and found and took pictures of items, so they can be returned to their owners. Please take a look at this link to see if any items belong to your student. If you recognize an item, please email Elizabeth Rinker (eerinker@fcps.edu) Caitlyn Saunders (cesaunders@fcps.edu) or Amy Herbert (alherbert@fcps.edu) with the color of the slide(red, yellow, green), the letter in the picture and a brief description of your item. Please also include your student’s name and teacher so the item can be returned to him/her.

KP/KG PTA News

Please join the PTA for a fun end of school year event on Thursday, June 2 from 6:30pm-8:00pm at Kings Glen.  The PTA plans to offer food trucks and games for all!

We are looking for three PTA members to serve on the audit committee in early July.  This is a short-time obligation (just a few hours) one afternoon/evening to help us complete this essential task for the financial year.  If interested, please reach out to kpkgpta@gmail.com

The newly elected PTA board will be getting together in the coming weeks and over the summer to plan the next school year.  If you have any ideas/suggestions or would like to be involved and volunteer in some capacity, please fill out this form or reach out to kpkgpta@gmail.com

Sincerely,
