After School Lego Robotics Club for
22-23 School Year
We will be holding a virtual interest meeting regarding an after school volunteer-led STEM-based robotics program called First Lego League. The meeting will include a demo and Q&A session with a First Lego League representative. If you are interested in building a collaborative team where your child can develop coding and problem-solving skills with his/her peers from Greenbriar East then First Lego League is for your child!

All Staff, Family, and Friends are invited to all performances! Because of the pandemic, these will be the first public Chorus, Band and Strings concerts at GBE since 2019! Please come out and support our student musicians as they finally get the chance to show off what they have been practicing towards all year!

2022-2023 School Year!
Band and Strings registration is now open for the 2022-2023 School Year! Playing an instrument and being a part of the Band or Strings program is an awesome opportunity. All eligible students are highly encouraged to enroll!

BAND is open to all 5th & 6th Graders who are interested in playing Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, or Percussion.

We encourage all interested students to sign up for Band or Strings by Friday, June 3rd.
There will be an additional opportunity to sign up in the Fall, but we are encouraging as many students to enroll now to help us get a head start on putting together next year’s Master Schedule. If your child was already in Band or Strings this year and will be continuing next year, please sign them up now so we can plan ahead for next year’s Advanced Groups!

GBE Family Input for 2022-2023
The school year 2022-2023 planning has begun! Since we work in partnership with our families to provide a supportive school environment for our students, we would like to invite you to share some information about your child. This form is not intended for families to request specific teachers. Rather we are looking for more input to assist us with making the best teacher and student match.
Class assignments are made by a team. Your child’s current teacher, specialists, upcoming grade-level staff, and administrators collaborate to develop class lists for next school year. This form will be reviewed and considered when we begin this process. Greenbriar East embraces collective responsibility and all of our staff are equipped to meet individual student needs.

Student Intention for SY2022-2023
Complete the "Student's Intention For Next School Year" form ONLY for those students that are NOT coming back to GBE for the 2022-2023 school year. Email it to anunez@fcps.edu or send it in to your child's homeroom teacher by May 20th, 2022.
The "Student's Intention For Next School Year" form is used by FCPS to project each school's total enrollment for the next school year. Questions about filling out this form should be directed to GBE's Student Registrar, Araceli Nunez.
2022-2023 Kindergarten Survey
We need your help in projecting the Kindergarten enrollment for the 2022-2023 school year. Virginia Law, section 22.1-254, requires that children who will reach their fifth birthday on or before September 30, 2022, must be enrolled in Kindergarten for the 2022-2023 school year unless the parent or guardian notifies the school
in writing that they do not wish the child to attend school until the following year.
If you have a child who will be five years old on or before September 30, 2022, please complete this form and return it no later than May 31, 2022 to our registrar Araceli Nunez anunez@fcps.edu. If any of your neighbors have children who will be eligible for Kindergarten, please share this information with them, as we are especially interested in reaching those in Greenbriar East families who do not have children currently attending school.
The information on this survey will help the school plan for adequate facilities and personnel for the 2022-2023 school year.
