Dear Shrevewood Families,
It's been another great week at Shrevewood. We are so excited to see students, families and teachers for BINGO night tonight. The end of the school year is just around the corner and we are looking forward to the many End of Year Celebrations, 6th Grade promotion and other events, like Field Day and the Strings Concert. Please join us on May 13th for a BINGO Night hosted by the PTA at Shrevewood. BINGO will start at 6:00 pm in the cafeteria. The 6th Grade Class will also be hosting a Bake Sale during BINGO.

Thank you parents for your continued partnership with staff at Shrevewood ES! We know that a good teacher-student match and a productive mix of children are ingredients for success, and we carefully consider each child’s strengths and needs during the class creation process. While we do not accept requests for individual teachers by name, we encourage parents to share information school staff should be aware of to aid the process of creating classes for the 2022-2023 school year. Keep in mind parent input is one source of information used to create classes and classes are not finalized until late August. So that your submission can be considered prior to conversations with the teachers, please submit your input by Friday, May 20, 2022. Thank you!

ATTENTION ALL STRINGS FAMILIES!
Reminder: SPRING CONCERT Thursday, May 26th
Participation in the concert is expected for ALL Strings Students!
5:30 PM ARRIVAL
*Students will report to the stage to unpack and tune*
6:00 PM PERFORMANCE
Performance Location: Gym
Students should wear white on top, black on bottom.
*ALL STUDENTS WILL NEED TO BRING IN INSTRUMENTS ON TUESDAY, MAY 24TH FOR AN IN SCHOOL REHEARSAL*

 * Students in Advanced Math in Grades 5 & 6 will take their advanced grade level math tests on the date listed for their current school grade level (e.g. Grade 5 Advanced Math students will take the Grade 6 Math SOL on May 18 when their grade level tests.)
Cafeteria Volunteers:
Volunteers would:
- Monitor cafeteria during different time slots (ranging from 10:50- 2:15)
- Help custodians clean tables
- Monitor students and prompt them to line up
- Have fun!!

As a reminder, school begins at 9:20 am and ends at 4:05 pm. Please notify us if your child will be absent or late to school. We will have an automated “call-out” at approximately 11 a.m. for students who were absent without prior notification. If you receive that call, please contact our office the next day.
