Fairfax Academy Community,
This has been a busy month already and we have loved seeing all our students’ performances and hearing about all the amazing plans our seniors have planned for next year.
We are gearing up for our culminating Academy event. Our annual Academy Awards will return to the stage on Tuesday, May 24 hosted by former Fairfax Academy Musical Theatre Director, Michael Replogle. We will have displays by many of our programs before the show and live performances by our Dance, Musical Theatre, Chinese and Korean programs in addition to a mini fashion show by our Fashion Careers students. There will be awards for each of the Academy’s 11 programs in addition to our Overall Academy Excellence Award and scholarships. It is an event that you do not want to miss and is free to the community! The event kicks off at 7pm in the Fairfax High School auditorium.
A quick reminder to return all materials that have been loaned this year including textbooks. We also ask that students complete pre-arranged absence forms for any days they need to miss for end of year testing and senior activities including internships. If you have any questions, please contact the Academy office and we will be happy to support you.

Pre-arranged absence reminder: With upcoming testing at base schools, we ask that all students complete a pre-arranged absence form before they are absent. Please go to https://fairfaxacademy.fcps.edu/resources/forms for a link to that form. Copies are also available in each of our classrooms and the Academy office.

Last Day of Academy: The last day for Academy shuttles is May 27. All 9th-11th graders are expected to attend through that week. Seniors are expected to attend their Academy class until their final exams begin at their base school. Seniors should notify their teacher of their exam schedules.
