Dear Lancer Community,
This past week we celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week, where we recognized our teachers for the impact they have on our students and our community. We are so thankful for all the hard work our teachers and staff do every day to make Longfellow a great place to learn and work! I wanted to take a moment to thank our PTA and all of our parent volunteers that supported teacher appreciation week! Every day brought so many nice treats and surprises; our Lancer staff felt so appreciated by all of your kindness.
Our school musical, “The Wizard of Oz” debuts this week for four performances. I can’t wait to see all of our students in action. Our students involved in theater have been working so hard on this performance.
All students will be taking the SOL this week, your students and their teachers have worked so hard together all year and they are ready! On Tuesday afternoon, students will be sent an email to their fcspsschools.net gmail account with their testing location. Please remind them to check their email in the morning.
Thank you again for all of your support. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
Jim Patrick
Principal
