 You are invited to attend an evening of Literacy, Math and Science fun at Annandale Terrace Elementary school on Thursday, May 5th from 6:00-7:30pm. All students are welcome to attend and must be accompanied by an adult. Students will receive a free gift after completing their activities and a treat when leaving the building. We are looking forward to wonderful event!
Teacher Luncheon— We will celebrate our teachers by having a special luncheon provided by the PTA on Friday, May 6th, 2022. The PTA will supply a main dish, drinks, and paper products.
Please donate $1 towards the luncheon if you would like to contribute.
Other teacher appreciation ideas that you may want to do with your family during the week of May 2-6 include:

ATES is partnering with the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) to offer these monthly distributions of nutritious groceries to members of the ATES community, free of charge for the school year 2021-2022.
When: May 9th at 4:00 PM-5:00PM
Where: Family Markets will be held outside in the front parking area with drive-up encouraged and walk-ups available.
What: The CAFB will be providing pre-packed boxes/bags of dry goods and produce. One box of each per household, please.
Help us keep Family Markets safe! Please note that masks are required for market participation, and we ask all participants to maintain social distancing by keeping 6 feet or further away from others.
Action required: Please complete May's survey provided in the link below prior to your visit to the school for the food distribution as this is a monthly requirement by CAFB.

SIBSHOPS: An Exciting, In-Person Workshop for Brothers and Sisters of Children with Special Needs!
The Sibshop workshops are for children in grades 2-6 enrolled in Fairfax County Public Schools who have siblings with special needs to:
- Meet other siblings in a relaxed, virtual setting.
- Celebrate the many contributions made by brothers and sisters of children with special needs.
- Share sibling experiences and receive peer support.
- Play games and have fun!

FCPS PreK and Early Head Start programs provide a quality preschool experience with comprehensive services at no cost to qualifying families who reside in Fairfax County. Your family may qualify for PreK or Early Head Start if you:
- have a child who will be age 3 or 4 by September 30,
- receive free or reduced-price school meals, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Social Security Income, and/or homeless per definition of the McKinney Vento Act, or
- receive resources such as from a shelter and/or the FCPS homeless liaison office.
The application eligibility, selection and enrollment process is managed centrally at the Office of Early Childhood Curriculum and Grant Management located in Falls Church; not at schools.

The Child Care Assistance and Referral (CCAR) Program provides:
- Resources and Referrals to families about various center-based and family child care programs located throughout the county
- Financial assistance for child care to eligible Fairfax County families
- Support to child care programs and providers
