   WFES PTA Updates

PTA 2022-2023 - Are you or someone you know interested in making a difference at WFES? The nominating committee for the 2022-2023 PTA will be meeting to identify a slate to be voted on at a future PTA meeting.  We are currently looking to fill the following positions for the 1-2 year term:

• President-Elect (SY 2022-23, transitioning to President in SY 2023-24):  Duties include serving as aide to the President, compiling and sending out the weekly PTA newsletter, performing duties of the President in the absence or inability of that officer to act, staying up to date on correspondence of the President, and performing other duties as assigned.  The President-Elect understands that by accepting the nomination of President-Elect, they agree to automatically succeed to the office of President at the end of their term as President-Elect. Contact Donna Ebaugh or Lisa Verne with questions.
• VP of Volunteers:Duties includes overseeing all volunteer opportunities (other than fundraising) that benefit our school community and coordinating volunteers for both PTA and WFES needs.  Other duties include: attending monthly PTA meetings; submitting information to the weekly News You Choose PTA emails, as needed.  (Volunteer opportunities related to fundraising are coordinated by the VP of Fundraising.)  
• VP of Legislative Affairs:Duties include monitoring and reporting on the pertinent legislative and budget developments at the state, county, and FCPS levels that can directly affect the education our children receive at WFES.  Other duties include: attending monthly PTA meetings; submitting information to the weekly News You Choose PTA emails, as needed.
