Floris Families,
This is the last Friday Message of the 2021-2022 school year. It has again been a school year of many changes and challenges. It has also been a year of learning for all of us – we have learned how to power through challenges, how to leverage the benefits of digital resources, and how to stay healthy and safe. We are so grateful for the flexibility, understanding and encouragement of our staff, students, and families throughout this year.
It was a fabulous week with Big Truck Day, the band concert and the 6th grade musical. We thank our students and staff for the hard work and preparation that goes into these special events and outstanding musical performances.
On Wednesday our Floris alumni who are seniors at South Lakes had their annual Grad Walk. Next Monday, our Westfield HS Floris alumni seniors will be celebrating with their Grad Walk as well. It is wonderful to welcome and celebrate our Floris alums this way.
Next Thursday is 6th Grade Day including the promotion ceremony and party. We look forward to celebrating our 6th graders as they move to the next chapter in their educational story.
Next Friday is the last day of school, and all FCPS schools dismiss early. Floris will dismiss at 2:00pm next Friday, June 10.
If your child has medication in the School Health Room, a parent must come to Floris by Friday, June 10 at 2:00pm to pick up the medication.
Please watch for emails this summer as we prepare for the first day of school on August 22, 2022. We will be sending dates and times for the Floris Open House and Back to School Nights later in the summer.
We hope you all have a safe, relaxing and joyful summer!
