SOL Test Retake Permission
The Virginia Board of Education allows elementary and middle school students who fail Standards of Learning (SOL) tests by a narrow margin to retake the test before the end of the school year. Retesting is available when a student fails their first attempt with a score of 375-399 (where 400 is passing).
Parent permission is required for any retests in grades 3-8. If you believe that your student would benefit from a second opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills on the SOL test, please complete this permission form. A decision not to allow retesting will not impact your student’s course grade or academic record. Show Your Appreciation to our Gold Medal Twain Staffers. We have a great week planned to say thank you to wonderful Twain Staff and Teachers. But we are in desperate need of parent volunteers to help set up the refueling station of desserts and coffee on Tuesday and help with lunch on Wednesday. You can sign up here.

2021-22 Yearbooks
Yearbooks should arrive at Twain MS sometime after May 21st. An announcement will be made when they arrive. Therefore, photos can no longer be submitted to be placed in the yearbook. Yearbooks still can be ordered by going to the following website: www.yearbookordercenter.com

Lost Laptops and Chargers
At the end of the school year all students will be responsible for returning their laptop and charger. When students lose an FCPS provided laptop or charger they are responsible for replacing them.
Replacement fee for lost computer equipment:
- Dell 3310 Laptop Computer ($481.00)
- Dell 3310 Charger ($23)
Replacement fees can be paid either through:
- MySchoolBucks - https://www.myschoolbucks.com/
- Check - Bring in a check to Twain’s Main Office made payable to “Twain Middle School”. Write the Student ID# on the Memo line.
Once a student pays the replacement fee, we will provide them a new charger or laptop. Please do not purchase a replacement charger through outside stores or vendors.
We will not be providing replacement cases when students lose their case. You can purchase affordable cases through different retail stores.
