April 26 & 28- NOVA/GMU Advance Program Information Sessions (For 11th and 12th graders)
ADVANCE is an exciting partnership between Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) and George Mason University (Mason) that gives NOVA students targeted, personalized support to complete their bachelor's degrees in a timely manner and save money. Students cannot apply to the Advance program until after they graduate from high school and register for NOVA classes. Advance will host information sessions for interested FCPS students this spring. April 27- “Paying for College/ Scholarship 101” Workshop (For 9th-10th-11th graders)
College Access Fairfax, in partnership with Fairfax County Public Schools, is offering a free “Paying for College/ Scholarship 101” virtual workshop on Wed. April 27 from 7:00- 8:30 p.m.
Topics to be covered include: understanding Cost of Attendance (COA), when to apply, types and sources of financial aid, forms and financial information required, and how need is determined. Also learn how to search, apply and find scholarships and tips for a successful scholarship application.

April 29- Class of 2022 Decision Day (For 12th graders)
Hayfield High School Counselors are excited to celebrate our first in-person Decision Day since 2019! During all four lunches, we will celebrate seniors’ postsecondary choices in the senior nook of the HS cafeteria. Seniors can sign the DD banner, take photos with props, pick up a rock to decorate for the senior rock garden, and share their news with H2N for their senior map. Seniors are encouraged to wear their military, career, or college shirts.
