Spring Testing Information
The online iReady assessment (also known as the universal screener) provides a view of all students’ foundational skills to help teachers identify students who may have challenges in reading or mathematics. This spring, students in grades 1-6 will take the iReady reading and mathematics assessments. More information about the assessment can be found on the FCPS Universal Screener Parent Notification webpage. For questions, please contact your child’s teacher.

Positivity Project
This year, Sangster will continue implementing the Positivity Project(P2). P2 is dedicated to empowering America’s youth to build strong relationships and to understand, appreciate, and exemplify the character strengths in us all. Every 1-2 weeks, students learn about a new character strength.
Positivity Project - Apr 24, 2022
This week’s character strength is Connection/Purpose. You demonstrate this strength when you have beliefs about the meaning of life and your life’s purpose. You seek to be part of something greater than yourself. Having a clear sense of purpose in life, and a belief that you’re connected to a larger meaning, gives individuals strength. It allows them to persevere and find courage in trying circumstances, or lead with kindness and love even when it’s not reciprocated. Those with a sense of purpose have more meaning in their life – and are more fulfilled.
.The site P2 For Families is available for connecting P2 to your home and you can learn more about the site here. Many of the slides are password protected and the password is P2 (case-sensitive).
