Concession Stand Volunteers Needed

We are beyond excited to announce our first BIG EVENT in over two years! We are hosting the Herndon Middle Vs Hughes Middle basketball match on Friday May 20th.


Join the HMS PTA as we run the concession stand! We need volunteers to run the stand and donations of snacks to sell! Click here to sign up.

Snacks and drinks should be dropped off to the main office on Thursday May 19 or Friday May 20 - or directly to the gym at 4:30pm on May 20 before the games begin.

Schedule of event below:

  • 5:00pm - Doors open. Snacks, drinks and pizza sales begin.
  • 5:25pm - 7th Grade Boys Game
  • 6:10pm - 7th Grade Girls Game
  • 6:55pm - 8th Grade Boys Game
  • 7:40pm - 8th Grade Girls Game

Values In Prevention (VIP) Summer Program | June 29 - July 28

Rising 7th & 8th Graders

Engage with staff and students from local Middle Schools while participating in recreational activities.  There is a $50.00 fee to participate.  VIP will take place at Hughes Middle School.

Summer Bridge Academy | July 11 - 29

Rising 7th, 8th and 9th Graders

Students will spend three weeks participating in fun activities/projects that prepare them for the 2022-23 school year.  Summer Bridge Academy is free for participants and will take place at Hughes Middle School.

Rising 7th Graders

A program designed to help our new students get a head start and feel comfortable on Day 1 of the 2022-23 school year!  Jump Start will be held at Herndon Middle School.

Learn about the life of a HHS Hornet to be prepared for day 1 of your High School Career!  H2H will take place at Herndon High School.  Additional information coming soon!

Jump Start Student Volunteers

We are looking for current 7th & 8th graders to support the Jump Start Program.  Students will be a large part of the planning and implementing of the program.  Interviews for volunteers will begin in May.
