Thank you to all of our wonderful volunteers and parents who helped to support our spring book fair. We had a fantastic turn out and ended the week with another fantastic fundraiser for the library. I am incredibly grateful for our wonderful community at Bush Hill. An extra special thank you goes out to our amazing volunteers without whom this event would not have been possible. Your time and energy is so greatly appreciated!

This is the last week of Read-a thon! We hope your student had a great time reading last week and are excited about reaching their reading goals!
We've already raised over $4,000!! We're well on our way to our $10,000 goal! There is ONE MORE WEEK to collect your donations. Please help us reach our goal!

- Please return reading logs, pledge sheets, and cash/check donations to your teacher no later than THIS FRIDAY, April 29th. Make checks payable to Bush Hill Elementary PTA. Pledges can also be dropped off to the Main Office.

- Track your progress online! You can view your pledges and donations, see your donation progress, and follow along with your class's progress! Don't forget to check out the student and class leaderboards.

SCHOOL-WIDE GOAL: When we achieve our $10,000 goal, Mrs. Duffy and Mrs. Collins will be pied in the face! The TOP 2 EARNERS and TOP 2 READERS in each grade level will be able to help pie our administrators at a school event.

FIELD DAY VOLUNTEERS WANTED!!
Hey Bush Hill Parents and Families! Field day is finally making a comeback this year. What’s field day you may ask? It’s a day where your student(s) celebrates all the fun and exciting things they’ve learned in PE this year! Field day is Wednesday, June 1st, 2022 (Rain date Friday, June 3rd). For Kindergarten-3rd grade it will take place: 9:20- 12:20, and 4th-6th grade: 1:00- 3:45 pm. For this special day to be a continued success, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who can assist with leading activity stations. If you’re not available the day of to volunteer, we are also hoping for donations of freeze pops and/ or to loan a pop-up/ canopy tent to provide some shade for students at stations. If you’re interested in donating freeze pops or loaning a pop-up tent, please make sure to drop them off any time before the event (Tuesday, May 31 being the latest). Feel free to sign up online using this link OR use the form that was sent home today in Tuesday folders. Please sign up no later than May 13th for planning purposes, if you are interested in joining us for a fun filled day! If you have any questions, please give us a call or email.

The Bush Hill Music Department is gearing up for our Spring Concert. The Band, Orchestra and Chorus Spring Concert will be the evening of Thursday, May 12 at 7:00 PM outside Bush Hill Elementary. Families should bring their own chairs/blankets to sit on. The rain date will be the following Thursday: May 19th at 7 PM.
Students who are in band, orchestra, or chorus should dress up for the concert. Students should wear white shirts and black (dark) pants or skirts. We would prefer that the shirts have no writing on them. Chorus will be standing on risers for their concert. Please encourage your child to choose shoes which will allow them to stand comfortably.
Please remember that all students must be accompanied to and from the performances by an adult. We look forward to seeing you at our Spring Concert!
