Haycock Hello 4. 29.22

green

Dear Haycock Families,

As we celebrate our staff next week, we also want to thank the many volunteers who have assisted us this year.  From those serving on our wonderful PTA Board to the many parents who have volunteered to chaperone field trips, assist with the book fair, clean our our garden beds, and help our teachers in many different ways, a huge and heartfelt thank you to all of you.

This week, we have also celebrated our wonderful Haycock office staff.  Our Haycock family is so lucky to have Mary Ann, Yujin, Cathie, Debbie, Elizabeth, and Anna keeping Haycock running smoothly each and every day.

If you have a rising Kindergarten student or know of a neighbor who has a rising Kindergarten student, please encourage them to contact us and begin the registration process for the upcoming school year.  These numbers are closely monitored and will impact our staffing for next year.  See information below regarding the registration process.

Please enjoy this recording of our spring chorus concert.  Our 5th and 6th grade students worked hard and put on a lovely performance.  We are very proud of them!  We look forward to our band and strings concerts next week.

We wish you and your family a relaxing weekend.

With appreciation for your partnership,

Dr. Liz Beaty, Principal  embeaty@fcps.edu

Ms. Heather Boyd,AP  HABoyd@fcps.edu

Ms. Dana Chen, AP  dlchen@fcps.edu

Probable Bus Delays on Monday, May 2nd

The transportation team that services our school currently will have 20% of its drivers on leave Monday, May 2, 2022.

Because of this we are projecting that there will be extreme delays for bus service on Monday.  Since Haycock is a late bell school, our bus riders will most likely feel the greatest impact in terms of buses being late both at arrival and dismissal.  Please be advised, plan accordingly, and extend patience to us and our bus drivers.

Please visit the Bus Delay Website https://busdelay.fcps.edu/ and, if registered, monitor bus route updates on the Here Comes the Bus app.  If your child’s bus is more than 30 minutes late, you will receive an eNotify message via email or text.

Students Not Returning to Haycock

We are already working on our planning for next year.  We ask that if your child is NOT returning to Haycock next year that you complete this form for us as soon as possible.

Adios Ms. Blanca Larco

This week we said good bye to Ms. Blanca Larco, our Building Supervisor.  After 34 years at Haycock, she will be enjoying her much deserved retirement.  We will miss her!
