All Flint Hill Staff Members Shine Brightly!
Thank you, parents, for taking the opportunity to highlight our staff! This week, we are celebrating the efforts of our Sixth Grade team!
Here's what we heard from our community:
- My student has had an excellent 6th grade year with Ms. Burch. Because of the way that Ms. Burch holds the students accountable and underscores hard work and critical thinking, I think my student will be well prepared for the challenges of middle school.
- Mr. Klos is so engaging and creative with the students. You can tell he very much cares about giving them the best educational experience!
- Ms. Timney has helped me understand the transition to middle school this year. I am a lot less worried than I used to be!
- Ms. Miller takes the time to get to know her students and prepare them for middle school in a fun and meaningful way.
- My son really connected with Ms. Alongi’s love of history! Thank you for nurturing this in him.
- Mr. Hong eats lunch with students in the classroom which is especially helpful as the cafeteria can be a loud place for some children. Thank you!
- Ms. Miller has always been kind and responsive when we have come to her with questions or concerns about our kid, getting involved right away to figure out a plan.
- Ms. Timney has made my child more confident in his learning this year. I feel he is more prepared to go to Thoreau next year.
- Mr. Klos did not hesitate to call me following-up on an email I had sent with questions and concerns. His prompt response and time were greatly appreciated!
- Mr. Hong worked with my son a year ago, and he made him feel safe when he needed to ask questions--even when he felt he was the only one who needed extra support during small group instruction.
- Ms. Miller is such a fun teacher, she always tries to adapt and keep things interesting, like letting the kids read outside when the weather is nice!
- Ms. Burch does an awesome job of keeping order in her classroom to foster a healthy learning environment...and that is literally a quote from my 6th grader himself! As a parent I also love the emails that come home...so helpful to have specific things to talk to our kids about. Thank you to the entire 6th grade team!
- Ms. Alongi is very caring towards her students!
- Ms. Miller is very organized, hilarious, kind and optimistic. She makes everyone feel important. She makes learning fun.
