Fox Mill Focus

April 22, 2022

Happy Friday Fox Mill Family,

Today, April 22nd is celebrated in many countries as Earth Day. First Graders have been doing their part to show their appreciation for our beautiful planet. They have been investigating the needs of plants and the life cycle of seeds. Last week first graders in Miss Treharne and Mrs. Moran’s classes planted their very own sunflowers!  Mrs. Pena and Janin Sensei’s class completed the same activity this week. They enjoyed the beautiful weather while working together to begin this exciting experiment. Over the next several weeks students will observe, take care of, and record data about their plants.

The Kindergarten classes were busy in Art creating designs on crafty T- shirt patterns, with Earth themed messages.  They made such a beautiful display on the doors in our new wing of the building.

Staff expressed gratitude that most of our trees will be saved in our Atrium, another great reason to celebrate how beautiful our new front of the building will look with our age -old familiar Dogwood trees and Redbud trees

Class Placement Request

After working together for a full school year, teachers have in-depth knowledge of students’ learning styles, academic strengths and needs, personalities, friendships, and social interactions, including possible difficulties. We also feel that as parents, you know your child’s personality traits best. With this is mind, we are sending a class placement request form to better assist us with placement for the new school year.  Please note this is not a form to request a particular teacher.
