On Sunday, April 24th, the Wolftrap 5k & 1 Mile Fun Run will happen in person at Wolftrap Elementary with the Fun Run starting at 8am and the 5k Run at 8:30am. This event is not just for runners. We have a DJ, food for purchase, raffle baskets, cake walk, a Silent Auction for you to bid on variety of items, and Slime Your Teacher event. You won't want to miss this!
What to Know About Race Registration & Packet Pickup:
- Online registration will remain open through Thursday, April 21 closing at 8:00 p.m, so if you would still like to run, register here. Day of registration will be available the morning of the race.
- Packet Pickup will be this Friday April 22nd at Wolftrap Elementary under the tent from 3-7pm.
Race Maps:
1 Mile Fun Run: At 8:00am on Sunday, our annual Fun Run begins! Want a shorter race experience that you can walk, jog, run, or push a stroller? Then the Fun Run is for you! The course measures just short of 1-mile and is a great way to get your morning exercise before returning to Wolftrap for the exciting post-race events.
The course is as follows: Start at Wolftrap ES on Talisman. Turn left on St. Roman Dr. Turn right on Abbotsford. At the first opening in the median (at the intersection of Abbotsford and Midlothian), turn left around the median and return to Wolftrap ES.
5k Race Route: Starting at 8:30am, racers will take off towards Beulah road on Talisman on their 5k adventure. The road will be marked at major turns and volunteers located in various places on the route to assist racers. There will be one water station located at the bottom of Abbotsford to keep our racers hydrated. The 5k race map can be found on website here.

Join us at the event Sunday, Apr 24 at ~9:45am for our first-ever Slime Event. As we promised, More Registrations = More Slime! Thanks to your participation and support for this year's 5k, we reached our registration goals and reached all eight brave teachers and staff on our Slime Meter.
Your student has an opportunity to slime one of our eight teachers and staff by entering the raffle starting Friday, Apr 22nd at Packet Pickup and ending Sunday, Apr 24th at 9:30am.
GET THOSE RAFFLE TICKETS EARLY! It's not too late to pre-order your raffle tickets and them up at packet pickup or the morning of the race. Each raffle ticket is $1. By pre-ordering, you get six tickets for $5! Order through our PTA website here and we will have them for you! This discount will end April 21st.
The Wolftrap 5k Silent Auction will be open for bidding both at packet pickup on Friday, April 22nd at 3:00pm and closes on Sunday, April 24th at 9:40am. Simply get a Bid Number from a volunteer, and you can start bidding on a wonderful assortment of items from local businesses. 100% of the proceeds from the Silent Auction go to the Wolftrap PTA, so you can shop knowing that you are benefitting the school!
All bidders must be 18 years or older. You do not need to be present on Sunday to win. Any winners not present when the Auction closes will be contacted after the Race and will need to pay for and pick up items by Wednesday, April 27th. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards for payment.
Our 5k Event Guide contains a catalog of the Silent Auction items available for bidding. Scout it out and see offerings of a Tesla Overnight Experience, Ride to School in a Police Car, 2 hours of Unlimited Bowling for 5 people at Bowlero, Bundt Cakes for a Year from Nothing Bundt Cakes, classes, summer camps, and so much more!
