Class Assignments for 2022-23

While there’s still plenty of action left in 2021-2022, we have already begun planning for the 2022-23 school year!  One of the most important aspects in setting up our students for academic and social-emotional success is his/her homeroom class assignment. Making the most effective match with teacher and classmates is a very thoughtful, careful process that involves many different criteria. If you would like Dr. Ritter and Mrs. Agner to consider any specific information about your child that school staff may not know, particularly regarding learning style and classroom environment, please submit via email to Christine Ritter and Cindy Agner by Friday, May 13.

Because you are the expert(s) on your child, we ask that you keep your information centered on your child and the type of learning environment you feel would be the most productive for him/her. Of course, with or without a letter, each child’s strengths and needs are considered in the lengthy and complex process of developing class assignments. With this in mind, please refrain from requesting a specific teacher by name.

military child

April is the Month of the Military Child!

During the month of April, Kings Glen will celebrate and recognize the resilience of our military-connected students. We will be honoring these students and all of our families with military connections in several ways:

  • Honor Wall Bulletin Board:  Please send photos of past and present military members of your family to be displayed on this Bulletin Board. Pictures that include KG students are welcome. Pictures can be sent by hard copy to Ms. Stottlemyer (please note that pictures will not be returned) or can be sent electronically to etstottlemy1@fcps.edu.
  • Look for a link on the Gator Greetings page for students to make a Flipgrid video sharing their experiences as a military family child.
  • Join all of FCPS in a Spirit Week to honor our military students, April 18-22 (View Spirit Week Flyer Here).
