Reader's Corner

Students

Please help your student find any missing library books.

As the 3rd quarter comes to an end, it’s a great time for students to check for any missing library books.

The Bailey’s Upper library will be sending out emails after spring break to any students who have overdue books. An overdue book is one that has been checked out from the library more than 3 weeks. We will also continue talking with your students during their library specials to remind them of books they need to return.  We may send talking points messages with pictures to help students and families look for the books as well. We currently have over 800 books that are overdue, so we appreciate your help in getting them returned to the library.

If you receive an email, please use this information to help your student look around for any missing books. Students often tell me they find missing books in old backpacks, in closets, and other places that are easy to overlook.

Remember that books from any FCPS school can be returned to Bailey’s Upper. Then they will be sent to the correct school.

Thank you for your help! We always love getting books back so they can be shared with others!

Questions? Contact Linda Lindgren, librarian, at LCLindgren@fcps.edu
