Positivity Project:
Identifying and Appreciating the Good in Others
|
.
What is Identifying and Appreciating the Good in Others?
It’s important to intentionally work to identify and appreciate others’ character strengths even when it is difficult. To see the good in others, we have to take the time to pay attention to more than superficial things about others. We must be wiling to assume positive intentions when emotions are strong.
Why is it important?
Identifying and appreciating the good in other people helps you see the world through a more positive lens. If you’re constantly seeing the only the negative, you may operate from a defensive posture and come across in a way that does not allow people to identify and appreciate the good in YOU.
The Information above was adapted from resources provided by the Positivity Project
