Lightspeed Parent Report

on Child’s Device Activity

FCPS has new tools to help parents and guardians know more about their child’s activity on any FCPS device. These tools are provided by Lightspeed, our internet content filtering service, at no cost to families. You may sign up for a weekly Parent Report, which will provide a list of the top sites your child visited. If you want more detailed information, sign up for the Internet Use Parent portal and log-in anytime to see more detail about your child’s browsing and “pause” access to the internet during non-school hours. Find out more and sign up for these services on our website.

Do You Have Internet At Home?

Clearview has access to MiFi’s and can make them available for families that need Internet. Please contact your student’s teacher or contact the school to let us know if you need internet for your home.

FCPS Parent Technology Help Desk

Be Aware Of Your Student's

Digital Footprint.

Social media apps, like tik tok and snapchat, are not designed for the developing brain. Please be aware of your student's social media use. Look at their devices and see what they are doing.

If your student brings their FCPS laptop home, please be sure your student is using their FCPS laptop to school related activities only. And, please continue to communicate with your students on the importance of maintaining a positive digital footprint.

Finally, If you haven't already, please complete the parent/guardian digital consent form for the 2021-2022 school year, and as always, please reach out to us if you need anything.
