Franklin Families and Students,
We have one more week in the 3rd quarter and I am proud of the way our students and staff our finishing strong. There has been lots of excitement around FMS recently including three different field trips today. Our College Partnership students made a visit to JMU, the Oakton-bound Rising 9th graders visited OHS for an Activities Fair, and our choral students were performing at their State Assessment. Way to go, Falcons!
I also wanted to take this opportunity to highlight the acts of service that our students are performing around our school and in the community. You will see several students in action below as they spent time with Mr. Gibbs and Mr. Phillips beautifying our school grounds. Additional service-learning opportunities can also be found through the PTA webpage and Facebook page.
Finally, the deadline for ordering an FMS yearbook is almost here. Be sure to place your order by Friday, April 1.
Have a wonderful weekend. Thank you for your continued support.
With Gratitude,
Dustin Wright
Principal

Student Laptop Chargers
Students are responsible for charging their laptops every night so that they are able to fully participate in learning throughout the school day. Please check in with your student to ensure they have a charger and are actively keeping their school laptop charged. This will be particularly important prior to SOL testing in the spring. If your student needs a replacement charger, the cost is $23.00. You can purchase one through MySchoolBucks, or send in cash or check.
