Dear Whitman Community,
As we approach the last week of the 3rd quarter and Spring Break, our attention turns to the end of the year and we have even begun planning for summer. This summer we will be having our Imagine Summer Program from July 11 – 29. This free half-day summer program will provide instruction in math, science, English and the Arts. There will also be enrichment opportunities for coding and plenty of outdoor activities. Breakfast, lunch, and transportation is provided. More information can be found below. Over the past several weeks, we have seen an uptick in inappropriate postings on social media and group chats involving our students. Happily, both parents and students have come forward to share their concerns and the Whitman administration has been able to identify individuals involved. It is incredibly helpful when families provide us with information and we thank those that have reached out to us. In addition, continue to talk with your students about social media and how to use it appropriately.
Spring Break will begin for students with a two-hour early closing on Thursday, March 31. Students will return on Monday, April 11. The school building will be closed all week for carpet and tile work. I hope everyone has a wonderful break and enjoys some great Spring weather.
