It has been another wonderful week as many of us enjoyed a little more time in this beautiful weather. There continue to be so many great things that occur each day at Stone. Today our band and choral students will perform in their district assessments and we look forward to sharing with you how they did in next week’s update.

Speaker Series #7: Crystal Clemons
We were so fortunate to have our 7th featured speaker, Mrs. Crystal Clemons, as part of our Grace Covenant Speaker Series. Mrs. Clemons is a remarkable leader and Director of Classroom and Lab Technologies in the Information Technology Unit at George Mason University (GMU). She also served as the lead Engineer in designing over 3,000 high technology classrooms for the Army. She is a proud Virginia Tech Hokie with an Electrical Engineering Degree and a Master’s Degree in Education from George Mason University. Click the link above to read more about her.

Student Services Update
Our fabulous counseling team is wrapping up their individual student academic advising sessions to help students and families select courses for next year. Course selections can be viewed by parents in Parent Vue > Course Requests as VIEW ONLY. Any changes for next year should be emailed to your child’s current school counselor and can only be adjusted through June of 2022. All course offerings are based on student enrollment and are not guaranteed placements. For questions, please email TLBrumett@fcps.edu

Student Fees for Elective Courses
If your student is enrolled in the following classes: Family and Consumer Science, Tech Ed and/or Art, you will receive an email message from My School Bucks indicating you have a class fee to pay.
You can click on a link and pay this fee on My School Bucks, or you can send in cash or check to your teacher. These fees cover supplies needed for these classes. You may also have received an email notification if your child was previously enrolled, and you have a class fee that was not paid at the time. This email will come to the email address on your parent SIS account.
